Laptop Totes & Work Bags

The laptop tote is the bag the Missnine workshop started with, and it is still the one we test hardest: a month of commuting with a real laptop, a charger and a bottle before a strap is approved. The canvas totes carry a 15.6 inch laptop in a padded sleeve with a tablet slot beside it, close with a zip across the top, and weigh about a pound and a half empty. The vegan leather ones are dressier and a little heavier.

A laptop tote is not a backpack, and a full one hangs from one shoulder. The weight on the page is the bag empty, in the maker's words, so add the laptop. And a padded sleeve protects a screen from keys, not from a drop onto concrete.
